FEATURED DEVELOPMENTS

Counting Down to the EAS

You won´t want to miss the ENVI Analytics Symposium (EAS) scheduled for August 25-26 in Boulder, Colorado. We´re gathering together experts and practitioners to identify technology trends and advanced geospatial analytical solutions to help chart the course for the future of our industry.

We have lined up a number of dynamic speakers on a variety of topics like Scott Conway from the US Forest Service who will talk about how the Truckee (California) Ranger District takes advantage of recent advances in remote sensing in its forest management. Or Dr. Deborah Balk from City University of New York who plans to do a deep dive into demographics and analytics. There will be several speakers taking a bite out of Big Data and panel discussions that run the gamut from “Predictive Analytics in the Context of Geospatial Intelligence” to “The Future of Persistent Remote Sensing of the Earth“. Check out the full agenda here to find out what´s in store.

Take a look at what Stuart Blundell, ENVI Analytics Symposium Chairman, says about the industry leaders attending and speaking at the 2015 ENVI Analytics Symposium. EAS is your opportunity to participate in top notch discussions with them. We look forward to seeing you in the Rockies in August.

It´s a done deal! Harris acquires Exelis.

Harris and Exelis have joined forces – creating a stronger company with the scale, capabilities, and commitment to innovation and excellence to deliver even greater value to our customers. The acquisition was completed at the end of May. It will continue to be our priority to provide you with superior software solutions like ENVI products, IDL and Jagwire. More details on the acquisition can be found here.

We´ll be at the Esri UC, will you?

The first thing you´ll notice at this year´s Esri UC is we are now Harris. But never fear, we´ll still showcase the products you´ve come to rely on over the years, ENVI, IDL and Jagwire. When you stop by Harris booth #1417 you´ll also be able to take a look at some of the complimentary technology offerings available like IntelliEarth™ Geiger-mode LiDAR and IntelliEarth™ Marketplace.

Some highlights of our plans for the Esri UC

We will host two separate one-hour sessions to delve into recent developments with ENVI technology that enable organizations to deploy powerful ENVI analytics to their workforce and provide new ways to approach problems that can be solved using geospatial data and analytics.

  • The first session will focus on how ENVI can utilize Esri image services to solve large spatial and temporal problems. Wednesday, July 22nd from 2:00-3:00 pm on the Mezzanine Level in Room 16A.
  • The second session is more technical and will demonstrate how to use the ENVI API to build large scale analytics that deploy in both desktop and cloud environments. Wednesday, July 22nd from 3:00-4:00 pm on the Mezzanine Level in Room 16A.

We´ll also have 9 in-booth Demo Theater presentations that will discuss topics that range from adding LiDAR derived information to an ArcGIS Geodatabase to deploying advanced ENVI analytics to a cloud environment. Four presentations will be co-presented with partners from Airbus Defense and Space, DigitalGlobe, PrecisionHawk and BlackBridge. You can find a complete schedule of in-booth Demo Theater presentations here.
